This qualification is accredited and currently sits on the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF). It is supported by Skills for Health, the Sector Skills Council for Health and aligns with the requirements set by the HSE. This accredited qualification is ideal for those who require further training or are looking to develop their knowledge and/or skills in this subject area. It is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator. Learners gaining this qualification will know that Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival.

(QCF) Assessment and Certification
All successful students will be issued with a CPR and AED Certificate. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years, at which point learners will need to re-sit the course. However, the recommendation is that learners refresh their knowledge annually.
